About Friends.

For generations, Friends has been a place to seek God, grow together, and live out the love of Jesus. Here is the heart behind who we are and where we are going.

Our purpose

We exist to bring people closer to God.

We believe God is near and invites people to seek Him. Our church family wants to make room for that journey and walk it together.

“...seek after God and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him—though he is not far from any one of us.”Acts 17:27 NLT
What matters to us

Our Values.

Three simple commitments shape the way we worship, care for one another, and live each day.

01

We Love God.

02

We Love People.

03

We Live Grateful.

Our Faith

What We Believe

Rooted in Scripture. Jesus is our Message. Friends Church is part of Evangelical Friends Church – Eastern Region. These beliefs reflect our shared Faith and Practice.

01 / 06
01

God

God is our Father. We believe in one eternal God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He created and sustains all things and is perfect in love and holiness.

02

Jesus

Jesus Christ is “the Word made flesh” for us. Fully God and fully human, He died for our sins and rose again, bringing forgiveness and new life. He will return as He promised.

03

Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is our Comforter, Strengthener, and Guide. He lives in every believer, shapes us to be more like Jesus, and empowers us to live our faith and serve others.

04

The Bible

The Bible is the written Word of God, inspired by Him. It is trustworthy and without error in all it affirms—our final authority for what we believe and how we live.

05

The Church

The mission of the Church is to communicate the Good News of Salvation to people everywhere. As God’s family, we gather to worship, pray, grow together, and serve our communities.

06

Baptism

We practice baptism for those who have put their faith in Jesus. It is an outward sign of the Holy Spirit’s work within us and our belonging to the Church, pointing to our ongoing relationship with Christ.

What We Do

Our Core Process

We want people to know they are called to God and to one another, equipped with truth and freedom, and sent to love the world and serve the church.

  1. Called

  2. Equipped

  3. Sent

Our heritage

Rooted here since 1807.

Generations have prayed, gathered, and served on these grounds. Their faithfulness is part of our story, and we carry it forward as we follow where God is leading today.
