It’s been an incredible summer in Next Gen! From Vacation Bible School to Kids Camp and Youth Camp, God has been moving in the lives of children, students, and leaders—and we have so much to celebrate.

This summer, 284 kids joined us for Vacation Bible School, alongside 114 amazing volunteers who gave their time, energy, and hearts to serve the next generation. Even more exciting, 68 children made a first-time commitment to follow Christ, while another 73 recommitted their lives to Him. That’s 141 stories of children taking meaningful steps in their faith!

The impact continued beyond VBS. Kids Camp welcomed 52 campers with 22 leaders, creating space for children to get away, have fun, build relationships, and grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus. At Youth Camp, 59 students and 11 leaders experienced a week designed to challenge and encourage them in their faith.

These numbers are more than statistics. Behind every number is a child or student, a family, a volunteer, a conversation, a prayer, and a story that God is writing. We are incredibly grateful for every person who helped make this summer possible. Whether you served, gave, prayed, taught a lesson, led a small group, or simply encouraged a child, you played a part in what God did this summer!

And now, we’re looking ahead.

As we prepare to launch a new school year and celebrate Move-Up Sunday, we’re recognizing an exciting reality: God is growing our Next Gen ministries, and we need to make room for more.

That means some changes were made to our kids’ spaces, including renovations designed to create additional rooms, provide more functional spaces for ministry, and simplify the flow of people throughout our kids’ areas. The goal isn’t simply to create a nicer space—it’s to create an environment where more children can feel welcomed, known, loved, and encouraged to take their next step toward Jesus.

Making room takes vision, planning, resources, and people. But what an incredible opportunity we have! We don’t want to simply manage growth—we want to prepare for what God wants to do next.

As a new school year begins, let’s continue praying for our children and students, their families, and the incredible team of volunteers who invest in them every week. And if you’ve ever wondered whether there’s a place for you to serve in Next Gen, now is a great time to get involved.

The summer reminded us of something important: there is a generation ready to hear about Jesus. And as we look toward the fall, we’re excited to make room for more. More kids. More students. More families. More opportunities to share the love of Jesus.

We can’t wait to see what God does next!
