This fall, we’re inviting you to take an exciting journey through one of the most dynamic books of the Bible—The Book of Acts! Beginning September 6, our new 11-week sermon series will take us back to the very beginning of the church and help us discover what it means to be part of the continuing story of the Church today.
The Book of Acts is more than a history of what happened after Jesus’ resurrection and ascension. It is the story of the Holy Spirit empowering ordinary people to do extraordinary things as the good news of Jesus Christ spread from Jerusalem to the ends of the earth. We’ll meet the men and women who stepped out in faith, faced challenges and opposition, shared the gospel, served others, and helped establish the early church.
And here’s the exciting part: the story didn’t end with Acts 28. The mission of Jesus’ Church continues today—and we have a part to play.
As we walk through Acts together, we’ll explore questions that are just as relevant for the church today as they were for the first believers. What does Saul's conversion teach us about the power and initiative of God's grace? Where is God calling you to remain faithful even when following Jesus may be uncomfortable or costly? Where do you need to hear Jesus say, "Take courage," and how can His promises give you confidence to keep moving forward?
September 6 is also the launch of Season Three of Small Groups! So, as we begin this new sermon series, we encourage you to consider joining a small group. There’s something powerful that happens when we move beyond simply hearing God’s Word and begin discussing it, applying it, and living it out together.
The Book of Acts guidebooks will be available to help us go deeper in our study. These guidebooks are designed to accompany the sermon series and include a section for sermon notes, a daily reading guide, and discussion questions for our message-based small groups.
Imagine what could happen if we approached this season with the same faith, courage, and expectancy we see throughout Acts. Imagine what God might do through our church when we become more intentional about sharing the gospel, serving our community, encouraging one another, and building the Church.
The journey begins September 6. Grab your guidebook, join a small group, and get ready for an exciting 11 weeks as we explore the beginnings of the Church—and discover the part we play in continuing its mission today!
